I have a '99 GS300 with the stock Bridgestone 16's. I have been lucky to get 45k out of a tire with treadlife of 120. Now that I have to buy new tires, I've surfed the forum and have narrowed down to 2 brands.

Dunlop SP-5000 215/60/16 V rated

Toyo FZ4 225/55/16 V rated

I have two questions:

1. If stock tire is 215/60/16, will the FZ4 with 225/55/16 fit properly?

2. What does everyone suggest between the two?

Tirerack has a price of $76 on the Dunlop and Treaddepot is selling the FZ4's for $99.

gs3+4 share the same suspension, so no problem

btw, 45k out of stock tyres..hmm, that could be some kind of record that i know

both tyres that you mentioned are great. i highly recommend the SP5000, for the fact of its low price(25% lower than the toyos)..is it on-sale or something?

I just ordered the Dunlops from Tirerack. They are running a special on the size I needed... $76 a tire. The best I could find anywhere else was $110 - $115. Thought I better get the while I had the chance.

sounds great to me....tirerack has waayyy toomany choices, so they bound to put some on sale once in a while
