Default ATTN: Wheels Experts (Need Brembo Brake Pricing)

Just curious about the Brembo brake kit for the GS.. Will it work on standard 17" wheels.. Is it a 4 piston setup and what kind of price would this run.. Just PM me or you can post here.. I'm sure others are interested..

My little brother gets his GS in about a month so we are looking at this as his first or second mod.. Any help would be most appreciated since he wants a 4 piston setup but likes the factory 17's and won't have money to upgrade his wheels for a few years..

Thanks for any help you can give me!

I wouldnt bother upgrading brakes till he gets bigger wheels
I got bigger brakes to help me stop faster because my 20's slowed me down.
for the price of brembo's he can do lots of mods

The stock wheels won't support the Brembo's w/o at LEAST a spacer...but I don't think there is enough inner clearance either. The calipers are QUITE large...

I would do wheels first, then the brakes...

Thanks guys for the heads up!
According to what Peter has on his website the parts work on 17" wheels but I could be reading that wrong.. Here is the link below:

Yeah, that probably means that it will fit inside the 17" wheel diameter wise (I'm still not sure about that...but if that what Brembo says...) but I'm positive you'll need a spacer...if you look at your stock brakes, you'll see they're pretty close to the spokes...with the Brembos, w/o the spacer, the spokes will hit the caliper...

That kit requires 41mm of caliper clearance, which is huge. A high disk fitment should take care of it, though. For factory wheels, a spacer is required, just like the others said.

That kit retails for 2995, our price is 2650.

Thanks Peter and Manaray for the heads up.. Just too pricey for him at this point.. He was thinking in the $1200 - $1400 range he would do this but I guess he will go the Supra Brake Upgrade when he saves up for new shoes..

Any significant difference with the Brembo vs AP Racing setup?
- Except for price point?
- And AP is 6 Piston
