I was just curious if anybody has seen a company that sells the 17" GS wheels in a polished, graphite or black chrome finish. I know they are not available from Lexus like that but there are several sites that sell OEM replicas of those wheels and I wondering if anybody saw them in those finishes. I want them to look similar to the graphite color of the Sports Design 16" wheels or the following 17" IS300 graphite colored wheels.

I'm sure it's available, but what you'd invest in getting the finish done, you could put towards some better quality wheels altogether.

I asked the same quesiton soon after I got my GS too. I really like the look of the graphites as well.

oem from the factory does not offer such alternatives...

as Dex said, why not just get similar style wheels in graphite polish finish

Well I would never pay to have it made that way for me. I'm sure that would cost a lot. If it was already available I'd consider it instead of chrome. I like to keep my GS looking as stock as possible. I'm currently considering 3 wheels. The stock 17" chrome wheel or these other finishes if it's available. I have a set now that I would need to either trade for a new set or get re-chromed if I decide on this wheel.

I'm considering 2 aftermarket wheels in 18 x 8.5" size that are specifically made for Lexus/Toyota. The LSportline Model IV single piece.

and the TRD Sports wheel.

As you can see I like the 5 spoke design. My only concern is the NYC streets and how the 18" wheels will hold up. In the 3 years I had the stock 17s on my 1999 GS300, I needed to replace tires twice because I hit potholes.
