Default TPMS question

I tried to put air in one of my tires but couldn’t get the cap off. So I used pliers to take the cap off, but it broke the whole cap off from the valve stem.
Do I need to replace the whole sensor or can I just replace the valve stem.

Gotta replace the whole thing

Just an observation, but, is that valve cap aluminum or some sort of steel/tin? If its not aluminum, then it is probably galvanic corrosion that made them stick together, if it is aluminum, then, sometimes just the aluminum corrodes a little... I prefer the plastic caps on TPMS valves....
