Wheel offsets
I am thinking about 18" wheels for my 1st Gen GS300 (94)
Is there a resource that explains the correct wheel sizes/offsets to obtain that "proper" look?

JacobT - How would a 19x9 with a +42 offset fit with 245/35 nitto tires??? Another member said he was running the same sizes but with the +37 offset which would put even further out towards the fender, correct??? Let me know what you think! I am running a 19x10 +45 in the rear...lol

Dave,
With +42 offset, your rim will be 4mm closer to the suspension. But with 19x9, it pushes out .25" outward. So overall, your setup will be even more aggresive. It will be a couple mm outside the fender. You'll have fender problem if you drop it more than 2".

Perhaps I should then stick with the 19x9 with a +45 offset? I want to be able to slam the car as much as possible! Knowing that the wheel will stick out a few mm with the +45, that is not a likely choice, but no brake upgrade then!!!

19x9 +45... that puts the tire right next to the front suspension upright. I wouldn't go over +40 on the front of these cars on a 9" wide wheel.
Link 13 (my brother) has one of the more aggressive set-ups I've seen on a first-gen GS:
19x9 +37 245/35-19
19x10 +37 275/30-19
Works great, required removing the rear fender arch trim.

SoCalSC400 - If that is the case, why the hell does Blitz even offer that size for the GS??? Argh, they said either the positive +42/+45 works...only thing is...you lose some turning abilities...but still fits...even the +45, so I am not sure what to do...next size down is the 8"...but how the heck will that look???? 19x8 and 19x10!!!! Nitto 235/275???? argh...
BTW...yes, coilovers...I have a set of TEIN Flex coils that are going on tomorrow

Coilovers... nice! My bro needs 'em for his car- the Eibachs aren't low enough
I'll take a closer look at my bro's car tonight, see if there's room to go in 8mm to get to +45 :0

+45 would look better on the car as opposed to the +42, pending they fit, correct? Just can't do a brake upgrade....I just don't want the rim going outside of the fenderline...IMO...ugly!!!!

+45 will bring them inboard more, generally not a desired look.
I can say that my bros' wheels (19x9 +37) sit flush with the fender, and do not stick out.
IMO, this is the "perfect" offset for this car. I've driven the car extensively, and it has NO tramlining or tracking issues whatsoever, drives like a stock GS (except it handles better!).
I wouldn't go in more than +42.

As compared to your brother's 19x9 +37, would the 19x9 with a +42 offset sit a bit more inboard, closer to the suspension as opposed to the fenderline? Also, what kind of tires is he running? I plan on using the Nitto ZR555 245/275...Thank you very much for your help!!!

Jacob is on the right path, but I canguarantee that a 19x9 +42 will not stick out past the fender on a GS.

Jacob and SoCalSC4 - Thanks guys for all of your help! I really appreciate it!!! I was beginning to worry though!!! I love the Blitz Z1 and really really did not want to buy another set of wheels! The is the biggest bang in the pocket book of all mods, pending you go with a high quality wheel, etc... I will posts some pics after winter time ...coilover install this weekend, but I won't get my front wheels for a while...Thanks again guys!!!
