Default 19" Tire Size For IS350

I wanted to go with wider and fatter tires with my 19s as living in the city, I'd like as much protection from potholes as I can. I plan on running 245 40 19 on the fronts and 255 40 19 on the rears. I decided to go with the wider fronts because I have an extra pair of tires laying around...I was wondering if these tire sizes will pose any rubbing issues. I'd like to hopefully find out before spending money on mounting the tires on the rims. Thanks!

I've done a decent amount of research on this and the rears should be fine, as long as your not lowered. The fronts will probably be too big. I havent had tires that big, but based on my searches I wouldnt go much bigger than a 225/40/19 and 245/40/19 if you 'need' to stay with a 40 series tire. The optimal 19 sizes are 225/35/19 and 255/35/19.

Yea, if you put on a 245/40 up front I would be pretty sure you will have rubbing issues with that large of a tire, if your looking for just wider tires to protect the wheels from curb damage do 245/35 front and 255/35 rear, you wouldn't have rubbing issues with those sizes

Thanks, I'm only putting a higher profile to protect my rims from denting. NYC roads aren't the best. I'm not too worried about curbs. I'll chime in if there are any issues since I already have the tires.

Let us know how it works out please. Also mention wheel width and offsets to make it more meaningful.
