Input on these tires.

I have those tires now. I put over 33k miles on them, and I got them at 85% tread. The rears are at 0/32" though. When it's dry, they seem to be just fine, but when it's wet or even damp, they can lose traction fairly easy. Only recently have I been very careful in the rain, but that's just because I have no tread on the rears.

Have had them on my car for the last 2 years. front tires lasted 22k miles and back ones are still going strong (maybe 10k left). I'm having the fronts switched out for the hancook v12's today though. The T1r's are just too expensive and the only shop that sells them around here is les schwab and they charge $220 for the fronts and a lot more for the larger backs. Considering I can get the Hancooks for $150 I can't justify it. With that said I liked them and they look really good on the car...just too spendy for me.

No way the V12s are the best considering the cost. its has excellent balance of noise, performance, ride quality, and cost. Of course there are better tires...they just cost ALOT of money and the increase in performance or reduction of noise is not worth paying alot more for if your just an average person driving to and from work and around town.

But you were warned about the soft sidewalls.

There still to soft, but point taken for the average person they are probably the best bang for the buck. I would say if you are just looking for a decent summer tire get the V12s. There is really nothing that compares in that price range.
