best All-Season
I just moved to South Dakota and am starting to think about the winter. If I do not find a truck and store the GS, what do you all think would be the best all-season tire.
I am looking at Michelin Pilot sport A/S and Pilot XGT Z4. I would like to upgrade to wider rears ( which will make driving in snow worse) and keep the fronts the same. But I am unable to find all-season tires if I change to these sizes.
Thanks

I'd suggest not compromising on your tires between performance and snow/ice.
I've driven my GS in enough bad weather over a couple of winters to say it's not the best car for winter conditions. Rear drive and lots of power can get you into trouble quick. Doing things that seem simple like using manual shift to slow down can throw you into a skid. Got to do a lot more advance thinking than you do in winter.
Look into getting a set of factory 16's or cheap steel tires and putting dedicated snow tires (or even studs) on them. The Tire Rack typically runs specials on these in the fall.
I plan to do exactly what you're talking about for this winter - get a truck OR put snow tires on my old factory 16's.
