what to use to protect chrome wheels?
What should I use to protect some chrome wheels? I read over at autosupermart.com that Finish First makes a product called Liqui-Tech Wheel Protectant. It is supposed to protect your wheels from the brake dust and last a long time, and it is supposed to withstand the heat. Will this be good? I have also heard Rain-X wheel protectant is good (if it is still made). Also, I have heard of people using regular wax, but I don't think I want to do that because I don't think wax can hold up to that heat. Any suggestions you guys can make will be appreciated. Thanks

try to keep them clean with good car wash soap and water....esp if you are from a region where salt is used on the road....periodically use name brands like 3-M, mcguiars, mothers metal protectant/polish..not too often though..
autosupermart has great products and good prices...

but a thin coat of regular good-old-car-wax is also great idea..i tried it ...very nice...

You shouldn't use Turtle Wax to begin with. There are so many more effective waxes out there and Turtle Wax has been known to create swirls.

I use Meguiars, but any known brand similar to what gs4will mention should do the trick. Regardless, it'll put a coating on your wheels to make cleaning brake dust and dirt really easy without scratching the surface. Works great on your chrome or stainless steel mufflers too.
