Default BEWARE H&R Spacer Lug nuts

I'm not sure if I'm posting this in the right section but here goes. I just ordered in some H&R spacers for my RX300, but prior to installing them I noticed a pretty major flaw in the lug nuts. Now usually when I think of a top quality spacer, H&R is the first thing that comes to my mind. Now I've ordered many sets in the past before but this time I noticed the lug nuts that came with the spacer were threaded on a angle making then not sit properly on the acorn seat. No matter how many thread turns you get, you should always have a perfectly even tapered edge \___/ This is just a friendly tip to anyone who buys H&R to double check the lugs nut before installing them.

In no way have I lost my faith in H&R spacers, I still think they are the highest quality spacers out there. But the lug nuts on the other hand.............questionable

Wrong pitch? Possibly they sent you 1.25 instead of 1.5 ?

Nope not the wrong pitch. The lug nut is stamped 12x1.5. and it will thread down all the way. If it was 12x1.25 it would only get a couple turns before it stops

Ya there is definitely a warranty issue here. I work in a rim and tire shop and I have lug nuts that will work no problem so its no big deal for me. I just wanted to give people here a heads up if you order H&R spacers to double check the lug nuts before installing them.

Well for me its no biggie, working in a rim and tire shop I have like a billion lug nuts at my work. But I could say at least 7/10 of the ones that came with the spacer were like that. I will be in contact with them though just to let them know.

First time ve seen anything "bad" about them....

should still send them to HR or atleast tell them in case there truly is a defect. They make parts for many cars outside of Lexus

How did they manage that, I have 5 pair of ichiba 2 v1 and 3 v2 never had an issue aside from stripping one of the lugs rushing to throw them on. I have heard their previous aluminum colored studs not setting in the V1 but I have the gold studs.

I never contacted H&R I just ended up buying a new set of open ended lug nuts. But I did let my supplier know about it. I'm not sure if they have spoke to H&R or not.

I'm sure it was just a fluke thing. I still stand by H&R 100% but I just double check everything now

Its bound to happen...an open ended lug nut that wasn't sitting properly when it got threaded.

Hopefully, its just a fluke, but I agree...H&R should be aware of it....so they can monitor quality control.

Thanks for sharing.
