Default GoodYear Eagle F1 All Season

Long story short tires are great for handling, but noise is retarded. I called Goodyear Corp. and they said to bring it in, so I am tomorrow morning. I hope they replace them free of charge.

Any tips or hints to get what I want....

Thanks CL!

But I believe there is a Silent recall on it.
Anyone actually got the tires replaced?

How can they tell the hub bearings are worn? I saw ur other post, seems odd that yours would wear out that soon. I'm switching to my winter setup soon, if the noise goes away, then I'll be 100% sure its the tires.

Default Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season

I have had these tires for about 1 year and put 13,000 miles. Tires have been rotated, balanced and car alignment every 5 to 6K. The noise is getting louder and has some vibration in the higher speed 65+. I had to call Goodyear to open a file #. They called the closes retailer and arranged for an inspection. Went to Discount Tire gave them my file # and did an inspection on the tires. They called Goodyear and told them that the tires look good. Goodyear game me a prorated thread credit for the tire and went ahead and applied the money toward some Continental Extreme DWS tires. Wow what a difference. Time will tell if tire hold up. Discount Tire has great customer service.

The tire has really good dry road grip and performs well in most areas, however The Tire Rack does do a courtesy call to all ecommerce orders just to verify with every customer that we have had a higher than normal amount of complaints about the tire becoming noisy as it wears. Some customers stay with the tire because the dry road grip is exceptional and others stay with the tire because the noise issue is much worse in some sizes than others. Overall if road noise is a large concern for you when selecting a tire, the Goodyear Eagle F1 All Season is not a great match.
