Tire stretch question

Tire stretch question
Is a 255/35R19 too much of a stretch on a 10.5 wheel for high speeds? My car is boosted and I sometimes go as fast as 140-160 mph on the highway and I was just wondering if at those speeds such a stretch would be considered dangerous? The wheel is a +22 and I'm thinking a 265 tire may be a little too aggressive for the rear of a 2GS.

What brand/tire are you looking at? In most cases, a 255 should be ok on a 10.5.
Now, here's a little note about your high speeds on a public road way. More than
likely you are going to kill yourself or someone else travelling that fast. I suggest you
type "car racing accident pictures" in google and do us a favor and find an autocross
track. I'm not trying to lecture you or be a jerk, but there's no reason why
someone should drive 100+ on any public road. There are plenty of safe, weekend
track days all around the east coast.
