Default Brushed aluminium - how to refinish

I have some question. I just bought a new rims for my car and center face of rim is in brushed aluminium effect. In some places there is some of corrosion on (clear?) coat and I'm wondering how I can refinish my rims.
Any suggestion?
thanks

1. Get paint stripper and remove all the old clear with a plastic scraper.
2. Wash the wheel with dish detergent soap and dry.
3. If there is still corrosion get some mothers aluminum polish and rub the spot and wipe off. (if the corrosion is too deep get some 220 grit and sand in the same direction the original brushed finish pattern)
4. Use wax and grease remover.
5. Spray some Adhesion promotor (clear primer)
6. Spray clear coat

Some basic steps i use hope it helps you out.

Thanks for reply. Where I can get clear primer? First time I heard about primer like that. So if I remove only clear coat, and clean wheel I still keep brushed aluminium effect ? ( I mean without extra sanding )
And whats mothers aluminium polish ? Is that metal polishing paste ( like meguiar's aluminium polish? )

You can get it at your local auto parts store, autozone, advance auto, oriley's and walmart. If not you can always buy it online here: http://www.amazon.com/ADHESION-PROMO...2690768&sr=8-1
Yes the brushed effect will still be there. I know this because i had some trafficstars rts diamond cut finish and the rim shop's impact gun hit the face causing the clear coat to have a crack. So all i did was stripped off the clear on the cracked area and spot blend painted it, sand, and buffed. The results were perfect like nothing happened. Yes its the same polish it just to remove acid rain corrosion with out the use of sanding. If you need any other tips let me know.
