Will these 19" wheels work on a SC?
#6
anybody know any info about this?
I'm not getting ANY answers for this in the wheels forum, so moderators, please do not move this thread.
Would a these fit on a SC400? These rims came off a 99' GS400
19 x 9 .....245-35-19
19 x 9.5 .....275-30-19
I'm thinking about buying these rims, but i need to know for sure if they'll fit without rubbing. I have lowered my car with eibachs if that will help. I know Chairmanoftheboard put 18 x 10 on the rear, but the 275-10-19 tire might be too far out. Anyone with any knowledge?
Oh, I tried the search feature and have not come up with anything. thanks!

Well Doluck,
You need to find out/give out more specific info. Like what is the offset of each wheel, what brakes you have, do you have a 100lb speaker box in the trunk, etc.
I would think that a 9" wheel in the front is a bit wide, but the 245 tire is pretty narrow.

Well, my guess is that at 9" fronts (which are the only ones that may not fit) you would need a minimum of ET40-45 offset to be able to stay under the fender. The rears should fit if they fit on his GS.
Before putting down that much cash...get ALL of the info.

Well if it worked on a GS, then it should work fine on a SC...did they GS guy ever roll his fenders though? Also, a lot of times the offset is stamped on the backside of the wheel (usually on a spoke)...

ive heard 19s will fit alright...
cause you can get really wide in the rear...its just the front you need to worry about .. i think
just cause the front is the only ones taht turn

Typically, a 9" wide wheel will need to be +35 to +40 to fit properly on the front of an SC- any higher offset than +40 will hit the suspension upright, any lower than about +35 will stick out past the fender.
I built 19x9 +35 for my personal SC- just waiting on tires. There's a photo on the board somewhere of an Auto Couture SC400 with 20x9 +36: this sits nice & aggressively, but does not stick out of the fender.
I'd say is the 19x9s came off of a GS, they'll fit your SC just fine- dimensionally, the cars are very similar under the front fenders.
