Falken ZE 912
I'm shopping for 4 new tires for my 2001 IS 300, size 215/45/17. I have Michelin Pilots MXM4 right now. I'm looking for an All-Season tire with the best combination of good tread life, handling, grip, and a quiet ride. I've been looking at reviews on tire rack and talking to local tire companies. Can anyone give me recommendations on what would be the best choice? What I have been told is the Falken ZE 912 was the best-rated ultra performance tire this past year in many car magazines like car and driver and road and travel. Apparently, since it is a Japanese tire it's going to perform better because of their old school style and long history of drifting. I am also looking at the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus and the Continental Extreme Contact DWS. I really have no idea what to do so if anyone has any feedback, experience or recommendations on these tires or other ones that would work well for my car I would greatly appreciate it.

The 912 isnt going to handle anywhere close to as well as the Pilot Sport A/S+ but it's also half the price for a reason. I would definitely not compare the two. And i wouldnt put the DWS in the same category as the 912 either.
It all depends on your budget. If you want a decent AS tire and you're on a budget, the 912 will suffice. But if you want premium level tire and have a higher budget, i'd look at the Pilot Sports and the Bridgestone RE960AS PP, it is a little cheaper than the Michelin, but has been rated equally or higher in some expert opinions. If you still want a premium level tire with a lower price range, the Continental DWS is a great tire.
I have personally had a set of RE960's and they were great tires.

The Bridgestone and Michelins are premium rubber with better technology, hence the quiet and comfort and price tag
