Hankook V12 vs Yokohama S-Drive
Comparision:
Both are High Performance Summer Tires. Hankook is 25lbs per tire and S-Drive is 24lbs per tire. Hankook is cheaper than S-Drive (about 10-20 dollars per tire). Treadwear on Hankook is 280AA A and S-Drive is 300AA A. Hankook is from Korea and S-Drive is from Japan.
Questions:
Which tire would handle better for Dry and Wet?
Who's sidewall is more stiffer?
Which tire has lesser noise?
Which tire has better comfort?
Which tire would last longer?
What else?
So which tire would you buy and why?

I got the Hankook v12 and they are awesome. The S-Drive has a lower rating on Car and Driver than Hankook. I was wondering about the same questions too before I bought the tires, but I'm glad I went with the V12.

Haven't driven the Hankook. The S-drives are quite nice IME. Do well wet or dry, wear has been good and reasonably quiet. I rotated mine last night and originally was thinking to flip the tires soon but not that bad. At 22K miles now, I expect them to go about 35K after the flip in a few more months.
Comfortable, quiet and predictable. The only tire that I have experience with on this car is the BFG KDW-2. Those were excellent but the ride was stiffer and with much more road noise. The Yokohamas are a couple ticks lower in overall performance to the BFG's. I'd gladly take these and will probably buy them again if available.

I havent driven the Yoko's but the Hankook's are GREAT tires.. great grip in the rain and summer time, very quiet and smooth riding I went from the Falken 452's and the difference is day n night.. I would very highly recomend the Ventus V12's.. my set up is 245/35/20F 275/30/20R very nice tire.. Made in Korea

hankook will be my next rears. toyo proxes 4's on the front because hankook dico'd 215/35/19. the only reason i dont have hankooks on the rear right now, is because they came on my wheels i have now. i have had hankooks on my stocks, and my cr-kai's both 18's but handled extremely well in wet and dry!
