I'm looking for tires on my 2005 LS430. I found some Dunlap SP SPORT MAXX 245/45 ZR18 100Y with rim protection for a very reasonable price. These are Extra Load summer tires. My current tires are the Dunlap SP SPORT 5000M. The existing tires are all-seasons, which i really don't need and wanted a summer tire, since driving in snow happens 1x every couple years.

Any advice out there on this tire? I found it for about $110/ea! Unreal price compared to others in the category.

They are Lexus OEM tires on the IS. High quality, good grip, low noise, all around good tire.

If you can get the new version with the kevlar reinforced walls, I'd go for those - should help improve durability and sidewall blowouts.

thanks for the reply. I did end up buying these tires from tires-easy.com. I couldn't believe the price difference from the other "big box online retailers".

Anyway, the tires are quiet and i can't complain about road noise or wandering... So far i'm happy with the purchase.

Glad they worked out for you.

No need for a A/S here in the south. And really, no need for an A/S ever unless you're trying to save money... they still suck in the snow compared to a real snow tire.
