Lightbulb Custom wheels for SC430

At this time, there are few custom wheels available for the SC430. One of those is the Maido MD1; a picture of these on my car is posted in the Gallery. These ran me about $3000 before mounting etc. I can't say that I noticed much difference in performance vs stock wheels, but they look great.

You may notice a strong similarity between the Maido MD1 and the new TRD chrome wheel for the SC430...that's because the TRD wheel is made by Maido, but look closer and you'll see the TRD has faux hex-head screws around the inside rim. I hear that there are some non-visible technical differences also.

Just FYI, Madio is really Dazz Motorsports and the wheels are made by Hart in Japan...Dazz just relabels them...

The MD1 is really the Lowenhart LD1 LX....

...and there are PLENTY of aftermarket wheels for the SC430...unless you're talking about also having the run-flat sensor...

Thanks for the clarification. Incestuous business, these Japanese wheels.

Sorry, I'm used to choices in the hundreds for my cars. I'm thinking either the application guides for the dealers/websites I checked into aren't up to date, or else there's something special about the car design that limits the choices. At any rate, I do have the run-flat option on my wheels, but I understood from my dealer that to be a valve stem thing, and not affecting the wheel design itself.

BTW, I'm preparing to give up the run-flat tires, as I'm not happy with their either their performance or noise level. Looks like Perrilli Pzeros will be on the car soon.

Hmmm, I'm not a big fan on Pirelli's but if YOU like them, that's all that matters...

Personally, I'd do Bridgestone S-03's...

For wheel options, check out the Wheel Forum (I've moved this thread to the correct forum)...

Any wheel that fits on the LS and GS will fit on the SC430. The SC430 can actually support more agressive wheels (wider)...

I think someone here has a 20" x 11" on the back of their SC430...

What kind of price point are you looking at?

Use the Pirelli P-Zero Rosso- longer wearing & quieter than the 'old' P-Zero Asimmetrico. Great tire.
