19" vs 20" wheels
In everything I've read, it seems the popular staggered tire setup for 19 and 20 inch wheels are 245-35-19/275-30-19 and 245-35-20/275-30-20, respectively. Even though they are different wheel sizes, the profile is the same 35/30. So here are my questions:
Holding everything constant, wouldn't the 20" be taller and throw off your speedo/odo?
Is the 19" or 20" setup closest to stock diameter specs?
Since they are of the same profile, it seems there would be no more protection to the wheel by going with 19". Correct?
Why wouldn't you just go with 20"s vs 19"s unless there is a big price difference in the tires/wheels?
Thanks,

GSMan,
You are correct all around.
The 19s will be closest to stock diameter. With the 20s and all else the same, your acceleration/speedo will be a little off and they are heavier (if looking at same wheel).
No more protection for either wheel.
FYI...I just ordered the 19s.

Compared to the 19's, the 20's will show a 3.9% speedo error...so when your speedo is showing 60 MPH, you're actually going 62.3 MPH (I used the front tire measurements)
Compared to stock 17's (which is the smallest setup in terms of overall diameter of the tire), a 20" setup will be 5.6% off (so it shows 60 MPH but you're really going 63.4 MPH)
The stock 16's and 19" are so close, they will give a negligible error...
Here's some numbers if you'd like to do the math yourself...
Stock 16" GS tire = 225/55-16 = 25.7" Diameter
Stock 17" GS tire = 235/45-17 = 25.3" Diameter
19" Front = 245/35-19 = 25.8" Diameter
19" Rear = 275/30-19 = 25.5" DIameter
20" Front = 245/35-20 = 26.8" Diameter
20" Rear = 275/30-20 = 26.5" DIameter

I like the look of 19's better sometimes. It seems you can drop the car more on 19's, maybe I am wrong.

btw, not that 19s would look bad, but 20s do look awesome....it all depends what you are looking for and what your budget is..
tyre and wheel combo, depends on make, model and finish, could range from ~$400 and up in difference..

As for the other things mentioned (price, speedometer, wheel protection from the tire etc.) I have taken all that into consideration and 20's are the best bet FOR ME.

my only ? is dont 19's ride a little better than 20's and there both just as expensive and you dont get the rub look at cutting fender thread and you'll see what i mean ... thats the only reason im going with 19's dont want 2 cut anything ,20's i've found seem to be sorta cheaper.

I have 20's and I don't rub at all...no fender mods whatsoever...
One reason to get 19's is sometimes you REALLY like a design and it doesn't come in 20"...many Japanese wheels are NOT available in 20"...
