The T1-R got me just over 20k but it was a different size, 245/45/18, than the Ventus. I also had the T1-S and those only got me 20k as well. Very good summer tires though.

after my exhaustive research, the Hankooks are almost HALF the price of the T1R's... and I highly doubt they are half the tire... heck, they actually look to be a better tire from reviews

decision made - Hankook V12 FTW!

yeah I got the Hankook V12 for my stock 18"s. It is definitely a thumbs up. I used to have the Toyo T1R on my 19"s.

ride comfort wise Toyo T1R gets my vote, but the Hankook V12 comes very close in comparison...for the price of the V12, can't beat its value.

Thanks radicalrev. I'm going to need new tires for the Mercedes C300 this year so I'm favoring the Hankook.

Hankook tires sold from U.S are little different from the ones that were tested on megazine... actually they are quite different.
however v12 are solid tires for daily driving. it wont take corners on dry road like t1r's but at the price i can get them for is very decent.. i think they both are pretty bad on wet roads.
i've had v12 since last year feb and i put about 24k miles on them. front may be has only couple of month b4 replacing.

I know for a fact that the tires are sold in U.S and Europe is different because of their preferences of ride quality and performance.
i dont know if that goes to every manufacturer but HanKook specifically makes those tires from different compounds... They perform better in the street that are sold in Europe.
and HanKook send C&D those tires for test comparison..

i know someone works for that company.. got the info from him..
i'm not saying they are bad.. they are actually really good.. but, they are just little different in peformance spec.
its just like coke in asian countries taste a lil different then U.S...

So the questionable difference is probably insignificant. The tire company and C&D both don't want distorted test results published.

idk if its going to be signifcant or not... but i know they are different.. and european tires peforms better then ones sold in U.S... thats all...
ive been using them for a long time now.. since first time they released v12...
they are not great for tracks but they are really good for street peformance..
probably will do the job for ur c class
