Smile How many miles can I go without an alignment?

I just changed my ball joints and tie rods and well cant find anyone to do my alignment with 22's and bags (its a saturday) well, because of my work schedule, close to impossible to do so during the week. I'll probably put 20-30miles tops by next weekend. Question is, will I be ok? I would think so. When I put the tie rods on, I marked them and as I drive I dont have any pulling in any direction.

Also the other reason is that I still need to do the rear toe arms before as well and again wont have time until next weekend so that being said (hope its explanatory enough) what are the opinions of the experts out there?

thanks

20-30 miles, unless it is completely out of whack, I wouldn't worry... but I also would drive it as absolutely little as possible...

Well, 20-30 was more of a conservative number just to be safe. I only go to work and back which is maybe a mile away so that twice a day for 5 days its really gonna be closer to 10-15. as for out of whack, I did a pretty good job putting back to where it was. so I may be fine, my rear has major toe though

anyone want to add to mitsuguy's post (or anything to add to my reply mitsuguy )

Uhh, what if its more than just 20-30 miles? I just installed new suspension on Thanksgiving day while in Houston, went back to school in Austin, came back to Houston for xmas break, and drove to other places while in Austin and Houston. I still havent gotten my alignment done yet, but plan on getting balljoints done soon and with that, the alignment done as well.

Off topic, but I dont wanna make another thread, so here goes. Would a 8.5 inch wide rim going to fit into a 235/55/19 tire? Thanks for the help!

Might wanna take a close look at your tires... chances are that they are wearing badly already...

235/55???? what in the world is that going on???? Thats close to a RX330 size tire!!! 235 will fit an 8.5" wheel just fine...

ahhh, ok then....

have it aligned ASAP, but typically taller tires like those can withstand being out of align a little longer than a lower profile, stiffer sidewall tire...

biggest most important thing is toe... get that taken care of ASAP...

might I suggest some place like Firestone that offers a lifetime alignment price... get the alignment, then get the ball joints, then get it aligned again??? I know its a little more money, but its probably worth it in money saved on tires alone, plus then you don't have to worry about alignments for the foreseeable future...

when your tires point inward or out ward like this \ /

basically the car is dragging the tires thus destroying them. Camber doesnt kill tires, its the toe in or toe out that does.
