What's up! Fairly new to the forum; however, I've been a fan from the beginning. I finished up my 430 and started working on my first gen GS300. I've been looking for a decent mesh wheel to put on it and decided to go with the Petrol Vengeance in 20".

My challenge........

The Petrol Vengeance only comes in 20.8.5 f and 20x10.5 r. The guys at Petrol seem to think that the rear wont feet on the first gen GS300, but, I've seen some agressive pics throughout the forum and thought surely there's a way. I guess I could just try and find another wheel, but, there isn't much in the "mesh" wheel world to choose from. (At least within my budget for a 15 year old car). I also like the wheel because there aren't many wheels out there that are mesh, with an almost totatlly "flat" face.

Anyway, can someone help me figure out whether or not these wheels will work on my 1994 GS300??????

You shouldn't have any trouble fitting 20"s granted the fitment isn't too agressive. Would you happen to know the offsets of the wheels you plan/want to get? That information would be of great assistance in determining how and if they will fit.

Oh and by the way, I have a 93' GS300 and I ran 20"s on mine without any problems

You can do it with the right offsets. I have a 1994 GS300 with the following:

20x9.5 - 2.5" lip 255/35-20
20x11 - 3.5" lip 295/30-20

Fenders were modified front and rear to accomodate these. The fronts sometimes disturb the fender lining when I turn full left lock, but it doesn't do it on right turns. Need to get in there with a heat gun.

I'm familiar with 20's on the GS....but, this time, I'm going staggered. The issue came up because of the wheel for the rear being a 10.5 (20, or 40 offets are available). I don't want to do too much, but,this is the wheel I want and I just need to know if the 20 x 10.5 for the rear, probably in the +40 offset will poke too much. I'm trying to flush it out....

You should be just fine. I have a 99 LS and run a 10.5 +45 rear on a 275/30/20 no problem. The GS can take much more aggressive fitment than the LS. The +20 offset may work even better, but I'll let the offset pros help you out with the exact #'s. Maybe if you ask around the first gen GS forum you will get a better response since it is more active than this one.

That was my inital thought, to try multiple forums to see which one would be most responsive, but, I learned from the moderator that that's a no no....I really need some help though....

What type of fitment are you goung for? Aggressive, conservative or somewhere in between? How low is the car going to be? Are you willing to modify your fenders if need be?

My set-up was staggered as well. In the picture above I was running a 20 x 8.5 up front and a 20 x 10 in the rear. Offsets in front in back were in the low 40 range. Although I think the fronts may have been in the high 30's.

Anyhow, the fitments you have listed above, your best bet would be to go with the +40. If you were to go with the +20, then you'd have to lower the car, camber the wheels, run a stretch-tire set-up and more than likely modify your fenders.

I guess somewhere in between. I plan on tucking the tire about half way. I was thinking about just shaving the fenders all the way around. That's sorta what I was affraid of....I think I'd better go with the +40 offsets.

Yeah, you can always get spacers if you want a more aggressive look after you install them.

It looks like the experts have spoken. I think what works best for this build is to go with the +40 offsetts all the way around, as they only offer the whell in two offsets, +20 and +40. Once I get them mounted and play around with the proper tire size for my ride height and width of wheels, then I can entertain spacers to get it to sit right.....right?

Sorry to bring up an old thread, I too plan on running 20's but a little more agressive.

My car is my daily but I think +40 isn't an aggressive enough stance, correct me if I'm wrong. The wheels I'm looking at come in 20x8 +20 F, 20x10 +25 R. What do the pros think?

Unless I run x10's all the way around but that might be pushing it tremendously lol
