Default What summer tires do you like?

I'm ordering my rims very soon, and was planning to go with Falken 452 for tires but read a thread about them being too loud. So I'm wondering what tires that are good and quiet that falls in the price range as the Falken 452s? A bit more expensive is acceptable as well.

I need to buy all 4 same size tires. 235/35/19.

That's what I was gonna say.... after reading the recent affordable performance tire roundup article and some reviews that's the tires I'm planning to buy when my OEMs wear out.

Being that you live in Canada, do yourself a favor and get a good set of all-seasons. I refuse to pay twice as much for a tire that lasts half the miles. There is NOT that big of a performance difference between summer and all-seasons (Street driving).

http://www.caranddriver.com/reviews/...mparison_tests

There's the article BTW... 9 tires compared against the benchmark PS2 (all much cheaper than the PS2s though)

All 3 tires mentioned so far are rated... (The Invos are in 8th place, the S drives in 6th, and Hankooks in 2nd)... the Dunlop Z1s edge the Hankooks out for 1st, but they're noisier and the ride isn't quite as nice.

All the models mentioned are great options. I'll throw another one into the mix, check out the Nitto NT05.

Nitto INVO, Nitto 555, and the Falken FK452 are all dirt cheap and handle well. The INVOs are insanely quiet

I got Yoko S-Drive. It's been a year and it's at 50%. Still good. Thinking of getting Proxes 4, for longer thread life. Still looking at reviews for the proxes 4

I'm going to look into the Hankook V12 tires too, saw it mentioned in this thread a few times. I'll get them in my original size for my 2008 IS 350 once my current stock tires die out (they're down to 5/32 in the rear, 6/32 in the front - I have a little over 18k miles on them and the car was bought new in January). I first heard of them in a post from my.is member Knightshade, I think he was referencing this article in his post too:

I read an article on http://www.insideline.com/features/t...vs-summer.html which made it seem that there really was a good advantage to summer tires.
