SSR disassembly
I currently have a set of SSR GT3 in 19x10 & 19x8.5. I am ok with the wheels, they were on the car when i bought it. I necessarily wouldn't have bought them but they are ok. I am wanting to change the front barrels (slightly curbed) & rear barrels to a bigger one. No one in Atlanta says they can do it. They are stating they don't have access to 35 hole barrels??? I was thinking of finding a pair of rears made for a M3 or 350Z/G35 & disassemble those. every shop keeps telling me its not a good idea to disassemble SSR wheels at all. Anyone had success with this or can lend assistance?

Yah, even though they are three piece wheels, they aren't a truly modular design, and they aren't meant to be disassembled and pieces swapped, so, good luck finding individual pieces... by the time you do what you are proposing, you might as well have bought the correct thing straight from SSR... Also, if you disassemble and reassemble, you will have to make sure that you get a good seal where the pieces come together - this is typically done with silicone sealant... you don't want to mess that up, for sure...
