Will IS rims fit a GS4?
I was wondering if rims made for an IS (18x8 with 235-35-18 tires) would fit if I put them on my 98 GS4.
Do you guys think that I should just go for an 18x8.5 size and wait it out?

kevs,
If the IS wheel was your 1st choice, go for it. If not, wait it out and get what you really want. You won't regret the wait and you won't be always wondering what your first choice would have been like.

If you are going to upgrade, put more meat that 8" on the rear; remember, that's a 300hp car you're driving, and if you do any performance mods, traction will be even a bigger issue.

stock IS rims are 17x7 with 215/45
i know the bolt pattern will fit, but not sure about the offset... you may have to sand down the caliper or the inside of the rim..
also, if its for a GS4, you will more than likely need more meat than 215's on the rear...and i wouldn't go more than 225 on the stock 17s..

Thanks for the replies. Yeah, I'm not planning on doing too much to my GS4 (engine-wise), so I think the 18x8 size should be okay for traction purposes. Plus, I'm not too aggressive of a driver...........
I did end up buying 18 inch SSR GT1's with 235-35-18 Michelin Pilots that came off an IS300. I got them for a good price, so I'm happy! I'll post pics after I put them on this week.
