Pics of 245/45-17 setup please
I've searched all through the boards and found lots of discussions around using +1 tires. I'm curious if anyone has pics of 245/45 on 17 x 8 inch rims on a GS. Seems there was a post from "Mike" last June or so but I haven't seen anything new on this subject.
Due to $$'s shortages, I would rather get some good 17" rims than mediocre 18" ones. I have the stock 16's now and will use them for snow tires. The alternative is to keep saving and eventually get 18's....sigh
As always, thanks in advance. You can e-mail pics to me at GS400@attbi.com or post here.

Thanks very much for your photos. My GS is also black so this really helps. I've been wondering how this combo looks, I think it looks fine and will hold up to Boston potholes better than 18's. The L-tuned makes a big difference.

17 vs 18
Murph,
looking back on my decision I am still torn between the 17 vs 18 issue. At the time 17's were the way to go, but now I see 18, 19 20 etc and I want more. At some point I may go with the 18's, but since that'll leave me with 2 sets of (5 each) rims and tires, I'll have to consider selling one set (Probably my 17's) For now though I have no plans to do this, but my 2002 Expedition has 17's on it and I don't know if I am "happy" with my truck and my GS sharing the same rim size. j/k I'd probably go with the L-Tuned wheels if I did decide to get the 18's, although I really like the OZ Super Legerra...and I'd make sure I can clear the big brake upgrade, which I failed to do on my current wheels.
