if you are looking for a decent street rotor, either will be fine... if you are going to really use them on the track and such, get an OEM solid vented rotor...

a solid rotor is almost always better - it has a better ability to store heat, which means it can take more abuse before it overheats, and it will last longer because it takes longer to heat up... there is more mass, period...

at least on a typical street car... on a track car, or a car with specially designed massive brakes, they are designed around drilled and/or slotted rotors...

so, if you want it to look cool and work pretty good, slotted / drilled is fine, if you want it to have the maximum performance, then solid vented is the way to go... cryo-treating can extend the lifespan of a rotor in heavy duty track condition type use... other than that, waste of money IMO... they do not stop better, they just handle the extreme high heat a little better...

Power Slot/Stop Rotara/Brembo etc all OEM size with dimple/slots/none are pretty much all identical. I haven't read any stories in 8 years of any having cracks or issues on the 2GS. The majority of the braking is done with the front set.
