Default Talk to me about tires.....

Getting new rims for the IS later this week/early next.

Not sure on what tires to go with. The car is a daily driver for my wife and a weekend toy for me when I can get it out of the garage. So....90% of the driving is to and from work. The remaining 10% are more aggressive driving by me and spirited launches, inter-changes on the interstate, and "emergency" lane changes.

Looking at 235/35/19 for the front and 275/30/19 for the rears.

Tell me your experiences.

I'm hunting for tires myself too, but I'am planning to go with the following setup:

front : 235/35/19
rear : 275/35/19

so daily driving, I think having a bit of more thicker tires should give you more comfort

Wrong section. But if I were you, think about how deep your pockets are first.

aren't PS2s summer tires...... if you need A/S get the Goodyear Eagle F1... running aftermarkets in winter is not really that good anyway.. especially in the OP's case in NC..... where he needs winter tires

Thanks for all the replies everyone.

As much as I'd love to put on PS2's, I can't dump 2 grand into tires alone that will be used up in 15 - 20 thousand miles.

I was thinking about the Goodyear F1's.

As for needing all season....not sure what part of NC you're thinking, but here in Charlotte....summer tires will be fine year round. Our "Winter Blizard 09" was only 2 inches of snow that was gone after a day and a half.

As for the wrong section....sorry. Didn't realize there was a tire specific section....I'll go look for it.

I just got Nitto Invo's on mine this afternoon. So far they seem great but I haven't pushed them yet. I'll probably post a more in depth review after a few weeks

lower treadware means softer tire with high grip and they will burn up faster..
higher treadware means longer life but less traction

nitto nt55r ftw
