Default Acorn style wheel lock bad for stock wheels?

Hello all,
I will be switching back to OEM wheels soon, specifically 3GS wheels on my 98' GS. I have an acorn style McGard wheel lock that I will be using. I know that stock GS wheels use the ones with the washer. My original Lexus wheel lock broke. Will using OEM lugnuts with the washers and one acorn style wheel lock cause the wheels to not mount properly? As in not completely flush with the hub? So for each wheel, I will be using 4 OEM lugnuts with washers and one acorn style McGard wheel lock. Anybody see any potential safety or vibration issues?

Thanks,
Theo

You probably mean the seat on the lug nuts. The stock wheel locks are also acorn style.

I can only suggest that you get oem wheel locks because of its design.

OEM locks have a _| |_ seat that is designed for the stock wheels,

The mcgard will most likely have a _/ \_ seat to fit aftermarket wheels.

The stock rims will sit flush with the hub, but the McGard won't sit properly on the wheels.

looking at the design, i am a bit afraid that the lugs won't be strong enough to hold the wheel due to the different design

Thanks for the answers guys. I will end up just getting another set of McGards that work with the OEM wheels and have the washer on the seat.
