Default Possible to refinish bbk calipers?

I have red stoptech bbk calipers, just wanting to know if anyone has changed the finish on their bbk? I was thinking of either having them chromed or having them painted/powdercoated black. Anyone done this, would the chroming/powdercaoting harm the caliper or make it weaker? Would painting hold up to the heat from the brakes? I know they have hi temp heat but I want to have a great finish on the brakes like how they come from the manufacturer, so I would want a professional to do it. Any help/advice would be appreciated.

unless you plan on tracking the hell out of the car (and seeing 1200deg+ temps) regular old engine enamel will work fine. make sure to use a high temp clearcoat if you plan on using a clearcoat.

If I decide to paint them I would rather have them powder coated as I am sure it will turn out better. What I really want is a chrome like finish, I have seen them on other cars but not sure what brand bbk it was. I am pretty sure the chroming process would weaken my stoptech and the oem calipers too much, wouldnt want to take that chance, but hoping someone can tell how they get that chrome appearance on those calipers

it's not really chrome, it's normally polished, if the calipers are aluminum.
