reverse lip is what most Japanese cars uses. Flat, polished lip. Normal lip is what European companies like BBS like to use, stair-casing lip.

I like reverse lip because it makes the rims look alot bigger sideways. Normal stair-casing lips makes wheels look smaller, but some people prefer that.

Here are 2 of the same wheels with different lips:

I do like how the Rev lip looks. I was looking at the Low BR5's for this spring, I don't think the lip is that big.

Reverse lips aren't necessarily "big"...it depends on the width of the wheel, the disk height (low, mid, high), and the offset.

The Lowenhart BR5's are reverse lip meaning the lip is straight from the edge of the wheel to where it meets the center disk.

A "normal" lip has a "step" on the lip...here's a "normal" lip wheel..

Notice the where the lip "steps up" (the valve hole is right on that step..it's at the bottom of the wheel)

Now here's a "reverse" lip wheel...

Can you see the difference?

OK. I see how the lip steps up. So that is the diff. I do like the rev lip better. Thanks, both of you!

How dare you??!!

'Big' is relative, but I love mine.

F: 18 x 8.5
R: 19 x 9.5

I haven't actually depth-measured mine yet.

More pics here if you are intersted.

Lots of folks here are picking these up as of late, which is fine; No one near me has 'em.
