Default I need help!! I need chrome 18 x 9.5's!!

I've decided on getting 18's.. I definately want CHROME!! I'm more into the bling bling style. But I do REALLY like some racing sytle rims.... and I have $2000-$3000 to spend!

The only problem is that I can't find many 18 x 9.5's out there for the rear!! And I want 9.5's for the rear!!

So, do you guys have any suggestions?? Pics would be great too!! And btw, I've got Eibachs ready to be installed when I get the rims...

Thanx...

Justin, if you have 2000~3000 to spend on 18''s, then I am sure you are getting the QUALITY 18''s. Your question is a bit general, is there any specific brand you interested in?

Due to the fact that 18''s is small for GS, i would like the lips to be as big as possible so that it looks bigger. I would go for 18x9 and 18x10 staggered setup with super low disk.

so Find out what/which rims you like, narrow these choices, and then let's talk about specific sizing.

good luck!

Posting in the right forum might help too...

Why not do the AVS Model 5's...those are some "race" wheels...I think they come in chrome...if not, you can have them chromed...most "race" wheels though do NOT come in chrome and chrome hurts the performance...

Why not talk the guys selling their HRE's (I think there's a set of 18" and 19" ones in the classified section) to see if you can talk them down to $3000...I think one of the sets was high polished (after you see high polished, you'll see there is NO POINT of getting them chromed)...

Sorry LexDriver, I just saw the thread.

Above all, what is the reasoning for wanting to stick to a 9.5" wheel? What tires are you planning on running?

I would be happy to help you find wheels.

Man...

Clublexus is really difficult now-a-days. A million forums, a new design... Shoot, I don't even post in the right forum anymore!! I miss the days when Clublex was simple!!... Ahhh well....

Anyways, I'm into 5 spoke design. I love the AV3's Manaray but I see them all over! Plus, a TON of KNOCK-OFFS!!

The reason why I'm going 9.5 in back is cuz it will help my launch AND will look better on the wide back end of the GS!!
*I'm planning:
18 x 8.5 front (245/40/18)
18 x 9.5 rear (265/35/18??) (275/35/18??)

I see tons of 18's but not many with the right width for the rears AND the look I want!!

Thanx for the help guys... Sorry I didn't post in wheels forum!! I forgot....

AW SHIAT DAWG! Dis iz whatz youz needz! I funna getz dez!

While the AVS Model 5 does have a few knock-offs, there's nothing like have a set of the real thing!

Dennis - Probably because 18 x 10 with a 275 will cause the sidewall to angle a little and gives the tire a 'rounded' sidewall effect...well at least that's why I picked a 9.5" rear instead of a 10"...a 275 just sits better on it (IMO)...

That's more in the offset (where the tire mounting pad is on the wheel) than width...

I've owned 5 sets of x10 275s and all looked squared.

Wheel,

I really love your Supra!! 900hp!! Now that's what I'm talking about....

I'm looking into getting the L-Sportline Model IV's... I love those rims but they DON'T have a 9.5 either!! I might just give up hope on the 9.5's....

Oh and btw... A little lip is great, but since I'm only getting 18's (and not 20's which look SO much better) a huge lip might make the wheel look smaller!! I want it to look BIGGER!!... So maybe keep that in mind if you're giving an opinion on what to look for.....

Thanx everyone...

Thanks for the compliment.. I've been working today on putting a new motor in to have it ready for IDRC Phoenix in two weeks. Should be on the road tomorrow.

If you're looking at an 18", the best looking rim on a GS in my opinion is the Blitz Type 03. It's stunning. (And not just because I sell it I've seen them on a few GS's, and they always make me stare. From the Blitz website...
