Default Need new tires....which ones?

Ok, I have the IS in for regualr service today and get a call that the front tires are pretty much shot. I knew they were getting low on tread, however I neglected to check the inner treads and it seems they are pretty much on their last leg. So, the question is which new ones should I get? The factory Bridgestones are nothing to write home about. They are ok, but a tad noisey....and very expensive. The dealership wants over $500 just for the fronts. Any ideas gents and gals? Im looking for a good solid tire, that wears well, is not too loud and is well priced. Any help or past experience info would be greatly appreciated.
