Any feedback on your Michelin Pilot Sport A/S Plus tires?
Looking for a replacement for the yuckahomas on my GS350.
Has any one-put these Michelin's to the test?
I'm looking for lots less road noise.

Michelin Pilot Sport A/S are my second favorite tire behind the Michelin Pilot Sport PS2's of course. the A/S' perform very well in the rain and in the dry of course. They are a lot quieter than most low profile tires. I've done the comparable Pirelli P-Zero Nero M&S in the past, and they don't compare to the Pilot Sport A/S. Something to also look into is the O.E Michelin tire for the 18" GS wheel...the Micheline Primacy HP.

I have Pilot Sport A/S for +6000 miles now. Traction is good for my driving style. Noise level is not outstanding but very acceptable. The tire wear is good, I hardly see any. If you don't drive aggressively all the time, I think this tire is better choice than the Pilot Sport PS2 in the cost-effective department due to its superior tire wear.

I have got about 4k miles on my set of 18" Michie Pilot Sport A/S. As stated before, rain and dry traction are excellent. I have read conflicting reports depending on road surfaces as the tires get older. I will just have to wait and see, but for now, my set is very quiet.

15K On My Set of 18" Michelin A/S Sports
Replaced the original runflats at 16,000 miles, now at 31,000 on my 2006 GS430. Tires still look great after 15,000 but are getting a little noisier than when new but still way, way, way better than the Dunlops.

Feedback on Pilot Sport A/S PLUS
Currently have these on for approx. 1100 miles for the Pilot Sport A/S Plus. 2006 GS3 AWD, 225/50/17. Bought these from Costco and the Pilot Sport A/S are being phased out, and replaced with the Plus ones.
My experience with the Plus on dry conditions: Grips very well and handles turns super. Various speed conditions ranging from 20mph - 40mph posted turns with moderate curve angle seemed to hold up very well going at 1.5 times the posted speed limit. Felt very planted with no sway or feeling of losing control, other than the sag of the car.
Wet condition with moderate rain fall: Tires felt the same as dry conditions, handled turns just as well. Took 5-8mph off the speed when cornering just to be safe, although the tires felt they could take the same speed through.
Wet condition with puddles or water in highway and local lanes: Since having the tires put on, I've driven through some HEAVY rainfall where water collected on highway lanes. There was very very minimal slip, but only in deeper puddles, other than that the feeling was the same, planted.
I've sworn by the previous car and Pilot Sport A/S before, and went with the same setup for the GS3 recently purchased. As you well know, Michelins are pricey but IMO they are great tires. I drive the car under normal conditions with occasional spirited runs, but really want these tires to hold up longer so haven't taken them to the test.
Good luck on your choice.

Great review. Very helpful. It's great how they even improved the treadwear rating also (to 500 i think).
