Default Tire Feedback Please!!!

Hey, I just got my wheels from Tophat and now I'm shopping for tires...

my choices are

Nexen 3000's all four total to $530 installed and balanced

or

Toyo Proxes t1r for $900 plus tax installed

I know the toyo's are better tires but is the price difference really justified...

The wheels won't be on for snow..

some feedback, what do you guys think...

Tires are

235-35-19
265-30-19

Thanks.

Tires are a one of the most important part you could put on a car, I wouldn't cheap out on tires...

Do your research there are plentiful of tires that are reasonably priced that give superior performance compared to Nexen...To name a few, Falken 452, Toyo Proxes4, Vredestein Ultrac, Bridgestone 960AS etc...

But out of those two, I would go with the Toyo's..

where's the "neither" or "buy a brand name tire" option?

You guys are right... i never cheaped out on anything before ever... I really shouldn't start here... recommendations and places to buy would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What are you looking for in a tire and what will you use hte car for? I totally agree cheap tires are not the way to go UNLESS its a beater and you really don't care much.

Some cheap tires can be pretty decent, I was shocked by how well my Riken Raptors did on the track but I did do a lot of reading on this "cheap" tire before buying.

I've had tons of intermediately priced tired and they get the job done in okay fashion. I made the jump to Goodyear Eagle DS F1 and I could not be happier. Priceier but the handling/braking is on another level.
