Some guy at work has SSR Competition's on his cherry red MR2, which actually look really good on the thing. But after seeing it on an inferior car, I just can't picture it well on a GS.

Actually, TE37s in 18" x 8.5 weigh 7.3 Kg or 16 lbs. You can find technical info about the TEs at

SSR's semi solid forging is a compromise between true hot forging (RAYS) and pressure casting. Hence, mechanical properties would rank in the middle.

The new Le37-T line, having the same offset as the TEs (+40mm) but slightly wider lip, may have smaller clearance for big aftermarket brake calipers.
