Default width of the rims

Is there a way to tell the width of the rim by just knowing the tire size?

I know someone that selling his rims and tires, and i been emailing him asking for the width and hasn't said a word. The info he gave was it is 18" rims, Aspect Ratio:40 and tire spec of 225/4018 92H M+S Nankang..

Well, how does the tire look when mounted on the wheel. If they are pretty flush with each other, I'd guess the width is either 7" or 7.5". That is, if the set up is not VIP styled (stretched tires), etc.
