Different Tire Size for OEM Lexus Rims?
I have a 2001 GS3 but ride with the 2006 GS430 5-spoke wheels. Love the look.
However, I was not expecting the tires to be so low-profile when I got them about a year and a half ago. I went with the OEM recommendation of 245/40-18.
The time has come to order new tires. This time around, I do not want the skinny/low-profile look but would like some thickness in my tires (the width of the tire is OK, I just desire more height).
Can Tire Rack or anyone else who knows make a recommendation for me as to which tire size I should be looking at so I don't sacrifice mileage or quality of the ride? In the past I have used Kumho (on stock 16" rims) and Pirelli (the current tires on my stock 18" rims).
Again, I am looking for my tires to have less of the low-profile look...that's probably the opposite of what most people like here on the forum but I do not wish to lower the car so I have a good amount of gap that bigger tires could fill...just don't want to ruin the ride in any way.
Thanks folks
Riz
