Default Discount tires is the best...

I bought some tires about a month ago, only 1200 miles on them. This morning, I hit a 4x4 piece of wood on the freeway, and my front right tire sidewall got torn open. Unfortunately for me, I didn't get the road hazard insurance on my $200 each tires. I brought it into discount tire, and told them my story, and the same CSR who sold me the tires asked if I wanted to buy the road hazard insurance now.

Long story short, I paid $114 for road hazard, and got my tire replaced, (after it was destroyed) rather than playing $200 for a new tire...

gotta love them

I like Discount as well, and their warranties are pretty good (I worked there for 5 years before going to their competitor, Firestone)... Anyways, if you pushed, they would have replaced the tire for free, being that new... every tire they sell has a pro-rated road hazard warranty, irregardless if you bought anything or not... so, if no amount of tread has been worn off, then the tire is free...

I like Discount Tire and the service is incredible.

Glad your situation worked out! Many would have paid full price for a new tire. The other member just knows the inside scoop from working for them.

Thanks for the post and info! I 2nd them!!

just shows how important it is to get road hazard to start... most people don't realize how well the warranties pay off at any reputable company...

I agree on Discount Tires - I've bought tires for 4 vehicles and never had problems and their pricing is right. I strayed once to NTB and that was a mistake - they just don't get customer service. Discount Tire has provided me the best value for my tire purchases.
