Default Questions about Wheel Studs....

I am getting ready to replace a couple of wheel studs and was wondering two things....

My SC300 has a completely stock engine and I run 20s on it during spring/summer and right now have no plans "upping" horsepower within the next 5-6 months. My mileage is 175,XXX.

#1 question: are the stock OE wheel studs from my local auto parts store (Autozone) good enough?

#2 question: Is it too early in my car's life to replace all 20?

the only time you would ever need something more significant than stock would be if you planned on running spacers or competing in some NHRA style drag strip events (in which the lug has to be exposed with a open end lug holding the wheel in place....

you can replace all 20 any time you want... personally, I have, and will continue to replace only the ones that have issues... so far, with almost 200k on the odo, I've only replaced one in my 40k miles worth of ownership, and the rest are in great shape...

Just replace the ones that are broken. Replacing all of them is kind of overkill to be honest. Just torque the lugs to spec to preserve the life of the stud. There are too many mechanics out there who use their air gun at full blast just to bolt on the lugs
