My stock GS350 has 245/40/18 running on 8" rims. You'll be fine. The tire sticks out like a millimeter more than the actual wheel. So that might help you with curb rashing

I run 255/35-18 on a 8" wheel with no issues... it's just a hair out of spec, it calls for a 8.5" wheel I believe...

245 is perfect for an 8" wheel...

How's that? Its pretty normal. I could only see someone that runs stretched tires think that was abnormal.

I remember when I had my Mk3 Supra, it had a 225 on the 8" rim. and that looked perfect.

when my bro had his Mk4 supra wheels he ran a 245 tire on the 9" rim and that seemed perfect.

anyone got a pic of a 245/255 on an 8"?

On an 8" rim, I'd say the optimal tire size to run is a 225 or 235. 245 is optimal for an 8.5" wheel.

Here's a pic of my old set-up 20 x 8.5 on a 245/35/20 Bridgestone S03
