I always like the design of the 1 pc wheels, but the quality issues with them cracking has swayed me from buying them. Can you offer any update to the situation? Have you guys digured out why they were cracking? Have you switched manufacturing facilities in China? A lot of vendors I spoke with do not have them in stock and are telling people Sevas themselves are back ordered. Also is it true that the Forged line of wheels have components made in china and assembled here in the states as I've been told.

Thank you for your comments and feedback. One of our key initiatives in becoming a sponsor of this forum board was to receive positive and negative reaction to our products. We strongly believe that the ultimate gauge in our success is directly related to the perception of our customers and the market place. We certainly don’t shy away from this information as we believe that perfection can not be achieved without valuable feedback from our customers. It is also important to mention that we intend to apply this information into our process to ensure our customer’s interests are at the core of every design.

We’d like to stress that safety and quality are at the core of every wheel we build, and for that reason we ensure that our factories are VIA or DOT certified. In addition to these certifications, we also work closely with US government testing facilities to ensure fatigue and metallurgy testing meet government regulations.

Although, we strive to maintain the highest level of quality across all our products it is important to note that all wheels regardless of quality, design, or material are subject to damage given the conditions they are subjected too. In some cases accidental damage or improper use have played a part in these cases. The nature under which these products are used will on occasion subject the product to forces outside normal operating conditions. Situations like these have been experienced with OEM wheels from prestigious automobile manufactures including BMW and Mercedes Benz and we invite you to visit the links below for additional information regarding those cases.

Over the last several months the overwhelming demand for Sevas one-piece wheels has created the need for additional production capacity. In addressing this issue, our Sevas one-piece production has shifted its production to new facilities, although we had planned on a faster transition to our new location the process has taken longer than anticipated and some of our models are backordered. Our forged line is assembled in the USA and come with T6061 centers and stainless steel fasteners. Although the assembly, testing, and final inspection is performed by our US team, we have used services or components from other US suppliers that may have facilities outside the US. We’d like to set any concerns to rest by stating that we will stand behind our warranty and address issues of quality covered by our warranty.

Sevas Wheels backs each of their products with a one year warranty against cosmetic flaws and a lifetime warranty on structural defects not caused by improper treatment. how much for the set of the fifth pic of wheels shipp to 76013?

So what was the reason why some of the specific models are cracking? Was it a certain batch that had flaws. If so, when?? The reason I ask is I bought a set back in Aug 2007 and now afraid to put them back on after reading some post about cracking on normal driving conditions?? Your assistance is appreciated.

To answer your question, the few cracked wheels that we’ve been able to inspect have failed as a result of severe impacts and are not related to specific batches. So in another word...all the cracked rim was due to severe impact only?? If that is the case, I feel alot better now. I was afraid my wheels will crack for no specific reason. It is time to put my sevas back onto my IS350!!

Are you simply a sponsor or are you a vendor?

Does this imply that CL members will be able to order wheels directly from Sevas and cut out the middle men? Or must we go through our traditional channels?
