Default Tire Rotation Question

Under normal circumstances does taking tires off their rims and rotating left to right extend their wear?

I did a basic search and didn't find any comments on this basic tire rotation method. Thank you for your comments.

if your tires are directional, yes, that's a good way to extend the life span of the tires

but if they are asymmetric, then there is no way you can rotate them.

So just keeping the direction of rotation consistent isn't enough? The inner face of the tire on the driver side can't become the outer face of the tire on the passenger side? Thanks for clearing this up for me.

that's true if it's directional tires, where there is a specific rotation. then you can swap tires left and right

but some tires, they only have "outside" and "inside", there is no direction of rotation. those tires, there is no swapping between left and right coz' outside is still outside
