Default Taking Apart Multi-Piece Wheel

This is probably a stupid question but I figured I'd ask anyways. So for a 3 piece wheel with rivets... I know you can remove the rivets and take the center piece off. Is there a RIGHT and WRONG way to do this? (and obviously putting it back together too) I want to powdercoat the center piece a different color. Can someone give me some input? Thank you.

yeah...definitely not something you wanna do yourself. do it wrong, and you might break the silicone somehow, possibly strip one of those really tough bolts(if its female), or something else i don't know about. it looks simple, but when you see a pro do it, it gets quite daunting
