Yokohama S.drive Vs. Falken FK452
Hi all, I'm in the process of getting tires for my wheels and was wondering if anyone had any experience with the Yoko S.drive tires since they are fairly new and was designed to replaced the old Yoko EVS100. I"m having a hard time deciding between the Yokohamo S.drive and the Falken FK452. What I will be using these tires for is daily driving with noise and handling being my main concern. The sizes that I will be running are 245/35/20 and 285/30/20. All feedbacks are appreciated.. Thanks.

Im having the same issue, also if you want even better tires, i mean WAY better, then you could also consider, the
Bridgestone Potenza RE960AS Pole Position
that tire is one bad mama jamma.....
but for the price the falken and the YOK are pretty good too

I just put some of the S drives on mine. Still too early to tell but so far, I like them. The BFG KDW-2 I replaced was an awesome tire except for the noise. Those things could take a poor line and hold well and suffice to say a good line was a joy.
The S Drives are smooth, quiet and my initial feel was the sidewall flex makes for an even more comfy ride. Fine for the barge IMO. The S-Drive in 245/40-18 is a pretty light tire too. I was considering some Bridgestone RE 760 Sports but at 29#/tire, I was put off, the wheels are heavy enough so feeling the suspension jar me with additional mass wasn't a characteristic I desired. The BFG KDW-2 was 26# and when I called Yokohama, the guy in tech quoted me 24#'s. At $150 per, it's reasonable to give them a shot. They don't have that crisp turn-in the BFG does. Considering the road noise is greatly reduced, the trade is worth it. YMMV
