Default BBK with iForged 18s?

Has anyone put a BBK with iForged 18 inch wheels? The valve stem of the iForged is located on the inside back part of the wheel (instead of on the face of the wheel). I'm concerned that the larger rotors (13.5 inch or 14 inch) of a BBK will block access to the value stem. Would appreciate hearing from people who have this setup and whether valve stem access is blocked or possible solutions. Thanks.

Mike,

It will be helpful to those who respond to give some additional information.

- Disk fittment of the Iforged wheel (low, med, high)
- Style of iForged wheel and offset
- Which big brakes you're considering

assume this is for a GS400?

I have similar wheels (but 19") with interior mounted valve stems with 355mm Brembos and have no problems.

Sure thing. It is for a 2000 GS400. I have 18 inch 2-piece iForged Classics. I ordered them with the BBK fitment, so they should be high disk. In fact, I did a fitment check with a couple of the 13" BBK fitment guides from StopTech and A/P Racing without any problems. I don't know the offset since iForged doesn't publish this info, but the wheels are flushed with the fender. With the OEM rotors, I have about a 4-5 finger gap between the edge of the rotor and the inside bottom of the wheel for access to the value stem. BTW, what is the diameter of the OEM rotors, 11.5"? Thanks.

ap racing doesn't have 13" setup for the 2gs, it's at least 13.5". so that's one reference. for 14" setup though, i really have no idea. if anything, you should worry about the valve stem hidding the calipers rather than worry about the access to the valve stems.

Thanks. I know AP Racing only makes a 13.5" and 14" BBK for the 2GS. The 13.5" BBK won't be a problem, but the 14" BBK will hit the value stem. Now I just want to know whether I will have access to the valve stem or if I will need to take my wheel off each time I want to inflate the tire.

Anyone else with BBK on iForged 18s (or other 18 inch wheels with inner valve stems) that can share their experience?
