Hi tiny,

Mark is a private party and have source from Japan. My brother went to school with him and he is an honest guy.
If you don't feel comfortable of sending him cashier check (that's what I did), he will certainly work something out for you.
Of course, he is worry about us as a buyer as well. So, I believe you guys can reach a comfort level once the deal is confirm.
In addition, someone else in the CL is buying the wheel from Mark maybe you can ask them. If you're near LA area you can meet him in person.

I've talked to mark a couple of times too. He is very helpful and very professional. His prices seem pretty good too.

Cool

Tiny

Met with and ordered a set of Work wheels from Mark. They are scheduled to arrive the second week of feb.

I like the guy and see no reason not to trust him. He's not in the
automotive business, In fact he's a CPA with contacts in Japan. He imports wheels to make a few extra bucks and because few other reliable individuals carry japanese wheels.

I understand your concerns sending cash to an individual you haven't met. It would be difficult for me to do also. The main reason I placed the order with him is because I met him.

If you like, I will keep you informed as to the status of my order and the condition that the wheels arrive.

Guys

Got my wheels from Mark last nite and had them istalled
today. They arrived in good condition, no scraches or blems and
ahead of schedule.

The wheels I are the work s2h 18x8.5 and 18x9.5. The same setup as Damnboy.

I like Mark and would deal with him again. The only "problems"
if they are "problems" was that the wheels did not come with centering rings or lug nuts. Both are required for installation and cost me extra bucks. The wheels came with dunlap Le Mans 702 "z" rated tires. The tires and wheels were balanced before shipment and did not require rebalancing.

Also, I'd like to thank Perry Roeder at Longo Lexus for his help in checking the balance and mounting my new wheels....Thanks
Perry.

I'll post some pixs as soon as I figure out how to do it.

GS4

Got the centering rings and lug nuts at Spreewell's.
If you go there talk to Edmund, he the tech that helped
me. As far as cost I paid $15. each for the centering rings
and $3. each for the lug nuts. $120. plus tax. not cheap
but I was a captive audience, I needed them.

I look for the invoice and maybe it has the size of the centering
rings. Hopefully you can get them cheaper.

str,

thanks for the info....yah, SR is fairly expensive:eek: they charge you $3 each for the lugs? i could have sold you a set(20 pcs) of either chromed or nickle plated lugs for $15-20....any way good to know that you got new shoes for the ride..

if it is not too much trouble, could you tell me the ctr ring size? you can email me if you prefer, thanks

william
(lexusbill@clublexus.com)

btw, i thought d.boy mentioned that his work set did not need ctr rings?

Unhappy Wow, that is kind of expensive

This is Mark, wow I don't know SR will charge you that much. When I got my wheel, I took them to American Tire next to my work at Costa Mesa. They charged me $5 for all 4 center ring. If I am not mistaken, I think John paid the same price in Texas as well. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the wheels!!!

Cong!! strshooter!! Work wheel has excellent quality and beautiful design. I feel good everytime I see them
I got the hubcentric rings from Discount Tire and they cost $2.5 a wheel, lug nuts and a key cost $50 for 20 units from there. Not bad I'll say. I can't wait to see the pics!!
