problem with a 1 day old tire.
Bought some tires for my rims yesterday. Had them put on and everything. the drive home was fine but today I had to make a drive to a lexus meet. So about 30 miles into the drive I feel the car starting to pull to the left. Im thinking WTF? so I exit and go to a gas station, made a left turn and the tire rubbed the fender. again WTF? so when I get to the air machine I pump up the tire (front drivers side) but the tire is sticking out way too much. I took the tire off to put the spare on and I noticed that the inside is all the way bald. I inspect the tire and it seems to have no nails or anything on it. I bring the rim to a tire shop nearby and they say I have a bad alignment and i will need a new tire. I said no and brung it back the the place I had it done, they tell me to leave the rim and they will get a new one on tmrw. So can it be a defective tire? or did they put the tire on wrong? or is the rim defective? (i have 19in Iforged daytonas)

same size according to the sidewall of the tire but I think it might have been missmarked at the factory or something (can that happen?). I just got back from there and they tried to blame it on the suspension saying that the drivers side is lower than the passenger side. so they tried to show me. they put the bad tire/rim on and said look how close it is to the upper control arm (if it was touching at all the cotter pin for the upper control arm nut would be completely destroyed) . I countered with well of course its gonna be closer look at the tire its flared/stretched out. so and ask them why don't you just take out the pass side rim and put it on the drivers side and see how close it is to the upper control arm. well they did and I was right, same distance away from the arm as the pass side. I have pics of the bad tire/rim so ill try to post the pics up later tonight.

although I'm sure it is possible, I highly doubt the tire was mis marked from the factory (at least not in the rubber, the labels are wrong all the time)
anyways, still sounds weird... you don't need any room at all for the tire, so long as it doesn't really touch anything... what I would be worried about with tight fitments like that is if there is anything loose or mal-adjusted in the suspension, I could see it being close on the ground or in the air, and actually rubbing when driving... not definite, but possible...

Could be a defective tire that shop is trying to pass it on to unsuspecting customers. Also that tire does not look like its new, more like a couple hundred miles old already. I would stay away from that place.
