Default Is it okay to mix LOAD INDEX?

I'm kind of in a bind. I blew out my tire after hitting a pothole !! I called tirerack to order a new one but the tire I have [ Continental ContiXtreme 225/40/18 88W is on national backorder. They don't expect to have any stock for at least 4 weeks. So my question is, would I be able to use a 225/40/18 93w in place?

I'm riding on the embarrassingly bright yellow spare that comes with the 2is. And I know it highly inadvisable to be riding on that for 4 weeks. Thanks in advance for any feedback.

it would work, but not properly... the good news is that it has a higher load index, not lower, but the bad news is that you would not be able to balance it with the other tires... maybe purchase a pair and place the new tires on the rear... that would be acceptable...

Once again, I agree with Mitsuguy.
