19inch Moda R6- good or bad?
I'm thinking about upgrading my stock 16" 1999 GS400 wheels to Moda R6 19X8 front and 19X9 rear. Does anyone have any experience with these wheels? Here are some 19"'s on a BMW, which look great.

How about the size. Should I go with 19X8 or 19X9? What are the advant/disadvant of the wider rim. I love the wide look but what about rubbing, performance, and the overall fit on the car?

def go with 19x8+9 so long as the tyres size and wheel offset are correct, the only disadv you might have is slowing the traffic down as motorists would want to check out your ride, the car might slowed down a bit due to larger/heavier rim, but no biggie ....i would even consider 19x9 f+r...

To tell you the truth, with "lipless" wheels, I think I would considering doing the same size just to get rotatability...however, if you are into performance, a wider rear wheel will give you better grip for the wheels that put the power to the ground...
Also note that the wheels are cast and not exactly light...so with 19's you will loose some acceleration and braking performance...of course, a supercharger and a big brake upgrade will fix that
MODA makes decent wheels...the R6 is a nice clean look for people who don't want to venture too far from the "stock" 17" wheels in terms of aesthetics...

19x9 won't rub if you slightly undersize the front tire (245's)...but why bother? On lipless wheel, getting a wider wheel offers no value unless you plan on doing wider tires (like 265 or 255) but then you loose the ability to rotate your tires. You might as well get 19x8.5" so that you can just run 245's (which are the "correct" size tire for the width) all around...
Anytime you get larger wheels, it'll look "not right" unless you lower it...

I really like the stock Lexus 17" wheel, and the Moda looks very similar, with the benefit of being available in the larger/wider rim.

Made by BBS?
Aren't the Moda's made by BBS? If so I'd probably go for them. BBS makes very good wheels, maybe the Moda's are a notch lower but still a reputable company.
